Everybody makes fun of preppers until they need something! Congrats on having that first aid kid for everyone. It sounds like it really came in handy, and I am so glad you had it.

Same with my husband. We attended an engagement party a few weeks back and had to use the first aid kit from my car no fewer then five times for other guests. My MIL gives me grief about it but when she’s needed something who has it? ME!

Great question, Cory! The answer is, yes you can. Although they made need to sit inside the bucket longer than whole beans, and may not absorb as much of the smell, you can still use them. Just be extra patient, and also make sure they are fully dried grounds, otherwise they may mold inside the bucket.
